Having five kids, it’s very hectic. And Dr. Tate and his staff have always made us welcome and have been able to change schedules for us to be able to provide the services that we needed.
On top of just the traditional services, the cleanings, we’ve also had Invisalign services and fillings and crowns, and everything has always come out perfectly for us. And when Dr. Tate couldn’t handle something, he gave us the best reference in the Frederick area, which really helped out. Yeah, so in the past, I had tried a different type of Invisalign. It was more of a self-done, you know, direct smile type of Invisalign and it just didn’t work out. So Dr. Tate put together a program for me. It’s about an eight-month program, and everything worked out great. I had a crowding issue on my bottom teeth and that’s been worked out.
So I was on a two-week process. So I would come in and get new sets every two weeks, and it was very simple. I’m on the road a ton due to my profession, and anytime I had an issue or needed to change out trays, Dr. Tate and his practice would fit me into my schedule, and it was really an easy process.

This practice is so welcoming. You just come in, you feel comfortable, you can talk about your problems. They’re very upfront with solutions and you just feel so relaxed. Doesn’t really feel like coming to the dentist.
I love that they just tell you exactly what they’re going to do before they do it. They keep you informed about what they’re seeing, what they’re doing, what they’re thinking about. So it just makes you feel like you’re part of the experience and you’re not just sitting there being like, what does that mean? What is that noise?
Dr. Tate is fabulous. He’s hilarious. I love seeing him and coming in. Love to get to see what’s happening in his life. He always asks questions about the kids and then just we go through the gamut of what I’m concerned about as far as my teeth and solutions, and he’s just really there to work with you through all of the things.
I am part of a military family so I’ve been all around the country and this is definitely the best quality of care I’ve gotten. Even since I’ve moved, I come back to still receive my care here. I think that they’re very open to exploring, to hearing your concerns, hearing the struggles you’ve had in the past, walking through all of the possible care options, and then just giving you things to think about going forward, whether you choose to continue to come here or not. I think it was just a very open conversation which I haven’t gotten from other providers I’ve seen where you can kind of see all of your different options and then choose the one that’s right for you.

Dr. Tate and I came to that solution together. I’ve been to other practices and I have some damage to my front tooth, which kind of made it discolored. So I thought the only option was to just get a fake tooth or veneers or something like that and really remove my teeth and just kind of start over. But we worked through other options, which ended up being Invisalign, where we could straighten my teeth and then really work on whitening the problem teeth that I had that were damaged so that I didn’t have to ultimately remove my teeth and get veneers. It was great.
So we started off walking through exactly where I would need buttons placed on my teeth. And then I was able to get, I think, six trays at once so I didn’t have to come in each time. Like, they just sent me home with them with clear instructions on when to change out my trays and then follow-up visits to just make sure things were moving as planned.
I highly recommend it. I think that the timeline, we actually ended up moving up my timeline because my teeth, the more you wear your retainers, the faster they move. Once teeth are in motion, they stay in motion, as they say. It was an awesome process. It’s a little bit uncomfortable at first, but they walk you through it. And at the end of the six to nine months, it’s totally worth it to have a great smile.

I definitely appreciate they’re very punctual, so if you have an appointment on time. I’ve never been here where, right, like, I haven’t been seen on time, which is critical when you’re trying to balance work and life and kids. And then you’re seeing they make the kids feel so comfortable. They make you feel comfortable as to what they’re doing, right? Like, you can sit with them when they’re in their chair and then just talk through it and really just only go to the kids’ comfort level. So it’s been great to get the kids familiar with the dentist, get them excited to brush their teeth and floss, and all of those things. So it’s been a great experience.
Come in, bring your kids, let them see what Dr. Tate does when he does your dental cleanings, and watch your kids get comfortable with it. And of course, you know, he uses all the fun terms, and I think he’s a motorcycle cleaner. And so there are just things that they do to go above and beyond to make kids comfortable and interested in dental hygiene.

We all know it’s not a very fun experience and it can startle many when they hear it, “You need to get a crown,” but actually the procedure, it went very well. It went very well. No pain. I came here because I broke the 70-year-old mark, and had been going to dentists, other dentists my whole life, and I needed an engineer. And I had heard about Haley and I knew that he was going to be somebody who would listen to the whole story and be able to evaluate my entire dental situation.
Sure enough, we got together and he gave me an assessment, told me what he thought needed to be done, and gave to me kind of à la carte, and I could pick kind of what I could afford and what I really wanted to get done. We did all that and he’s engineered it. He’s one of the best engineers I’ve ever met, dental engineers. He is really, really good at his craft. And so he’s kind of a systems thinker and, therefore, that’s really what makes him a great engineer.

I was a patient of another dentist who was kind of a factory dentist. I’d had a personal friend who was a dentist for decades and decades and he retired and sold his business. And the person who picked it up had some big bills to pay so it was all about production.
I came here because I had broken one of my canine teeth. Wanted somebody who would really do a full assessment of the whole package. He did that full assessment. I had tremendous confidence in him based on his confidence and his ability to perform.
So given all the factors, my age, the health of my teeth, which I’d taken care of my whole life, but the fact that they were breaking later in life, really woke me up to the fact that I needed a really solid engineer who was confident in their craft and he’s that guy.
The level of care and the level of service provided is…it was a whole different level here. He and his staff, they’re looking at keeping your teeth as long as you possibly can and want to keep your teeth. So we approached my oral hygiene and oral health on a plan that was solidly based. He called them, consulted with them on what needed to be done. He recommended an orthodontist to get my teeth straight because he was going to cap all these teeth across the front, so we needed to make room for those. And he picked up the phone and consulted with every other doctor that’s been involved.
Well, my family loves my teeth. They weren’t that bad before, but again, they were breaking. So the quality of the smile, my family comments on. They’re very happy with it. I’m very happy with it. He corrected a smile that was okay before and made it a smile. Now I show my teeth a lot more than I used to.
I would recommend Dr. Haley really to anybody at any age level, but especially people in my age group, because our teeth are a lot older, obviously, than younger people’s teeth are. You want good healthcare from the beginning to keep them healthier along the path. I think he’s the guy. The membership club was recommended by the receptionist here as a way to help take out some of the pain of the cost. It just made sense for me to belong to it. I have dental insurance, but as most people will probably attest, it really doesn’t pay very much. So belonging to his program is a hedge against the cost of getting your work done.
Well, I think the membership club can help people at different levels mitigate cost. And that’s the benefit to the service provided here.
